Canadian National Railway’s New Website Puts Customers First
Nov 12, 2008
Canadian National Railway launched an impressive new website with a modern, simple design that puts customers’ needs first. Important information is intuitively placed in highly visible areas: news, rates, fuel tariffs and railroad status are given priority on accessible pages.
“We were very pleased to have the opportunity to work with the CN Team in the re-engineering of their corporate website,” says zu COO Tony Zuck. “This project was driven by a desire to make the site user-friendly and to compliment CN’s full array of client self-serve functionality. It was a complex and rewarding project completed on a tight timeframe.”
The site informs users about CN as a full service goods transportation company. It effectively addresses what, where and how shipping can be done with CN by grouping related information together.
“Our website redesign involved new content, information architecture, an implementation of a CMS and a reintegration of our web analytics tool,” says Derbhla Dunne, Manager eChannel, CN Marketing. “The zu team rose to the challenge and delivered. We received nothing but professional, friendly service and technical expertise that goes beyond a typical “design” company. What else could you want in a supplier?”
