Keeping Busy With Annuals

Apr 01, 2008

Wow, it’s been very busy around the zu these last several weeks, as you can probably surmise from the number of blog entries I’ve made.

The crew has mainly been cranking out HTML conversions of annual reports for publicly traded companies who take online investor relations seriously. We are typically racing the printers to publish the books in time (and winning). We’re doing a good job with these things and have a few instances of recognition to point to:

If you glance through the materials on many public company sites you will often find that the annual reports, once you open the PDF, is actually nicer and better organized then the website. In these cases, I think it is doubly important to do a proper job of making the annual report into actual Internet content, as this is likely one of the main means a potential investor will need to take to understand the company.

Of course, having a proper investment proposition with the goals, strategies, market conditions, challenges, etc. clearly explained and present on the website (not locked in some PDF) is the best tact. An online annual is also a must for companies that think the document is worthwhile to read, and so worth making convenient to read.
