zu.com and Cameco Make a Splash at North American Investor Relations Awards

Cameco Corporation took home three awards at the 2008 Investor Relations Global Rankings for the North America region. The awards were handed out at the 10th annual IR Global Rankings ceremony in New York City on March 19.

zu.com communications designs and develops Cameco’s website and online annual report. zu is thrilled that Cameco’s website and online annual report are receiving international recognition.

Cameco was recognized in three separate categories for excellence in online corporate reporting. Cameco’s online annual report was named the best in North America. Cameco was also awarded the best investor relations (IR) website by technical criteria in North America along with FedEx Corporation, General Electric Company and Nexen Inc. In addition, Cameco took home the award for the best IR website by technical criteria in Canada.

“Online Investor relations is gaining ground as an essential tool for companies to communicate with their shareholders,” says zu CEO Ryan Lejbak. “We’re just beginning to see the potential of interactive media in this field.”

The awarding is conducted by MZ Consult NY LLC along with several supporting organizations, such as KPMG and Bloomberg. 160 registrants from 32 countries entered the competition.
